However, an interesting feature of her horoscope is the negative attitude to religion that shows with the stressed connection between Venus (valueing) and Neptune (religion). Basically, her horoscope points clearly to disliking the religious elements she experienced in childhood. This, combined with Leo, signals a willingness to announce her disdain to the world. Doing so with her stage name also fits astrologically, as she has a powerful and positive relationship with the two most negative points in a horoscope, the South Node and Saturn.

Saturn and the South Node working positively with her core nature (the Sun) indicate a great capacity to be tough, disciplined and a willingness to strip away anything she perceives as not relevant. Also watch the South Node as it is surprising how often it’s “stripping away” properties end up translating to stripping off clothing. Since it features very strongly in Madonna’s horoscope it is not surprising (to me, at least) that she has done the same thing physically in classicly overt Leo ways.

Yet within her horoscope there is a positive focus on religion, too. However, this element focuses more on power factors that are associated with arcane religious practices.
