Well there has been a lot of delays getting this video out but here we are. How well suited(!) is Robert Downey Jr. to play Ironman? Well it turns out he was ideally cast for this role. A question in my mind is how much of his success with this movie can we “attribute” to his horoscope? If nothing else there are some amazing points of resonance within his horoscope and the Ironman character.

I was interested in this horoscope because it was another high tech character and I wondered if there were similarities with Arnold Schwartzenegger (I can actually spell this) and the Terminator character he made famous. I can tell you I was more than a little surprised, but I invite you to watch the video to see why.

For some time now I have been tracking the horoscopes of movie stars and looking at the roles they have played. I must say that the stonger the fit a horoscope has with a character being played, the greater the success that seems to follow. Frankly because of this interest I intend to do more such videos which I hope you find as fascinating as I do.

For those of you that have been following these videos please be aware that I do not comment on all the points of “resonance” as there are just too many; but look for more of these points yourselves. It’s a fun way to learn more about astrology.

Well its been a tricky time. I have had an unusual amount of difficulties with my computer systems. Consequently there has been a more than average delay in producing my videos. Unfortunately this fits with the current astrological climate which is antagonistic to all things technological. The placememnt of Uranus (technology, innovations, all things to do with flying and even famous people) is opposed by Saturn (loss, limitation, adversity).

Basically Uranus is in Pisces and Saturn is in Virgo. These signs are “opposed” to each other meaning that planets in one of these signs tend conflict with planets in the other sign. This of course intensifies the closer the planets are to being exactly opposite each other. This happened early in February 2009 when nearly every part of the world suffered extemely adverse (Saturn) and unexpected (Uranus) weather conditions.

On top of this you may have noticed an unprecedented number of aircraft disasters; this also fits in with the current astrological climate. So if you are planning to fly somewhere and feel the need to pick a better time to fly then you may care to wait until Novemeber of 2009 at which time this inclement astrological weather will have eased substantially – although there may be an increase in lost luggage scenarios due to the new relationship of Saturn in Libra with Uranus in Pisces.

Anyway, I’m blaming the stars for not getting a video out sooner. Right now I have to go an reinstall my computer system – or else wait until November!

Okay, so how do you handle with this? Pay close attention to procedures and be “extra ready” to deal with the unexpected. Also try to avoid sticking only to the tried and true formulas and don’t get too heavily involved in utilizing more advanced technologies. You can also check if your personal horoscope plugs into the problem or if it actually shields you. In other words check out what ways you are vulnerable and and in what ways are you safe.

As an example I tried to add in too much advanced (Uranian) software which seems to have conflicted with the tried and true (Saturn) system that would have been enough to get the job done.

Okay so if you don’t have access to good astrological information, then …
if you are a Piscean, Virgoan, Sagittarian or Gemini (and especially if you were born around the 10th of March, September, June, December) then take extra care. To do this; pay attention, use your particular abilities, skills and sensitivities to stay alert and aware of what is going on. Trust your judgement but don’t fight your doubts – try respecting them.

In my next video I will be looking at how astrology can be an amazing indicator of an actor’s potential for success in “the right” movies. Personally I think you will be more than slightly amazed.

Being a Leo the willingness to get attention and shine brightly is well emphasised in Madonna’s horoscope. However, an interesting feature of her horoscope is the negative attitude to religion that shows with the stressed connection between Venus (valueing) and Neptune (religion). Basically, her horoscope points clearly to disliking the religious elements she experienced in childhood. This, combined with Leo, signals a willingness to announce her disdain to the world. Doing so with her stage name also fits astrologically, as she has a powerful and positive relationship with the two most negative points in a horoscope, the South Node and Saturn.

Saturn and the South Node working positively with her core nature (the Sun) indicate a great capacity to be tough, disciplined and a willingness to strip away anything she perceives as not relevant. Also watch the South Node as it is surprising how often it’s “stripping away” properties end up translating to stripping off clothing. Since it features very strongly in Madonna’s horoscope it is not surprising (to me, at least) that she has done the same thing physically in classicly overt Leo ways.

Yet within her horoscope there is a positive focus on religion, too. However, this element focuses more on power factors that are associated with arcane religious practices.

As is usually the case with famous people, she lives very much in accordance with what we could more than reasonably expect from her horoscope.

Princess Diana had the perfect aspect for delivering compassion. The connection between her Sun (core nature) and Neptune (compassion and service) was the strongest in her horoscope.

It suggests a person that would have felt the ideals of motherhood and aspired to be that person. However these two points in her horoscope also connect with Chiron (the planet which is emerging as the ruler of relationships). It spells an idealized view of what a relationship can be. For quite a while it was presumed she was the Princess of fairy tales.

What went wrong? While the structure for a rich relationship was in her horoscope, it did not include her Moon (the heart and feelings). Was this the cause of her relationship problems or was it Saturn in the 7th house of relationships cooling every encounter into something to disdain?

The Ideal Leader for His Time

Churchill led Britain through WWII with courage and optimism, and his horoscope is replete with courage, daring and leadership. Few people are as well known as Churchill so this provides a great opportunity to see how well astrology defines the man.

Good and Evil

The struggle against negative forces shows as a key factor in his horoscope. In fact, Hitler shared a similar aspect. What made them differ? What made one lead to the light and the other the dark? It’s in their horoscopes!

A Life of Danger

Throughout his life he courted danger, in fact astrologically he liked it and felt enormous confidence in handling it. His personal body guard of 18 years was frequently in a state of alarm over Churchill’s disregard for any form of combat or war time dangers. Where did he get such confidence? It wasn’t only through his Sagittarian sun sign or the support Sagittarius had from Leo and Aries – a total confidence package; there was another factor.

Spirit and Spirituality

This same factor caused him to be moved to tears over the beauty of a moment and it also painted him with a prediliction to love alcohol. In fact he believed in himself and his destiny so strongly it qualified as a spiritual belief.

Churchill lived a rich and dangerous life for most of his years. Find out why astrology says, it made sense.

Angelina Jolie’s fame, while it began with movies, now includes kids. Can we see the prominence of kids in her horoscope?

In astrology we always look at the Moon to get some insight into what’s going on with children in a person’s life. Is it possible to see in her horoscope the potential for many kids? Well if Jupiter were strongly connected to her Moon that would be a good indicator from astrology. Jupiter not only relates to having “a lot” of whatever it is focused on, but it also is the planet to do with foreign cultures (An attribute that could be said to be relevant in Angelina Jolie’s horoscope).

In fact we find astrology makes very clear assertions about children in her horoscope and in fact it has to be said that her situation with kids fits her horoscope exceptionally well. Even Brad fits in very well and the planet relating to children is a strong point of connection for them both.

In the four horoscopes reviewed in this video we look at the placement and role of Jupiter in them. It is interesting to notice how success is more personally experienced when Jupiter is strongly linked to the Sun. It raises the distinction of whether or not to “be success” or to “do success” as the last example in the video implies.

The examples given in this horoscope shows how Jupiter can bring out different traits even when it has a similar placement in three of these examples. The final example highlights a person who has had to be somewhat careful in how they negotiate their success potential.

It can be handy to know where Jupiter is in your own horoscope and then check if you are in a context, and doing those things, most likely to harness Jupiter’s success power.

I thought I would have look at what my videos are aiming to achieve. Essentially, I am using a tool I created to help examine horoscopes in a way that makes it relatively easy to learn and assess basic astrology. (I am refining it at this time and will soon make it available for purchase).

I chose the astrological methods I use for two reasons; they are the simplest and they are effective (in my experience). This approach also serves to make astrology more accessible to people interested in the subject but don’t have the time to learn it in depth. I must also mention that I do not agree with some of the traditional concepts that are generally applied to astrology and this is reflected in the interface I use.

Why Famous People

Looking at the horoscopes of famous people serves a valuable purpose in terms of learning about astrology. Because the lives of famous people are so well known it is easier to see how accurately their horoscopes match up with them and their lives.

A lot of relevant factors can be hidden in a person’s life; Bernie Madoff is an excellent example of how significant ‘what was hidden’ can be. An astrologer would have been in an invidious situation to say there was a serious risk of losing money investing with him. Up until his fraud was exposed, most of his investors would have regarded the idea as laughable – big black mark for astrology. This is a good example of some of the rockier issues astrology has to negotiate. Time can reveal things that astrology identitifies, but that can take a while to come through.

I did a horoscope for a lady and mentioned “books” as featuring in her life. I met her by accident 12 years later. She recognized me in a shop I was browsing in; it was her shop, it was a book shop. She remembered my session with her quite well; although she found our session to be a good, she remembered how wrong I was about “books” being in her life – there were none. We had a good laugh at the turn around. Although a trait may be pointed out accurately by astrology, it can take time for it to emerge in one’s life.

Ultimately astrology can be pointing to a specific trait in a person and it may be denied to exist or it may not have developed yet in their life. Furthermore, their circumstances may not allow it much scope.

I looked at the horoscope of a child born to a friend of mine. After mentioning a few points about the horoscope I said the child had tremendous creative potential; he could even become a director of an arts centre. We lost touch for a few years and when we met again I asked about her boy and how he was progressing towards becoming an “arts centre director” (at this stage he was 5 years old). She said, “Quite well.” Puzzled, I asked for the rest of the story. She said, “We had to buy him a grand piano.” She went on to say that her child was apparently a musical prodigy and could play classical music on the piano.

The important point here is, that child has excellent prospects for fulfilling the potentials indicated by his horoscope as his parents are quite well-off. However, even when a child does not have an ideal level of support, it is surprising how many still find their way to fulfilling much of their potential; Elvis Presley and Oprah Winfrey are great examples of this.

Still Not Easy

There are a number of problems astrology has that make it easy to dismiss and hard to fathom. In spite of this I have found for many years a consistency that is hard to avoid. Overall I think it takes time to understand astrology well-enough to evaluate it dispassionately. However, once understood astrology has a lot to say that can yield real value. I hope my efforts will make that value more apparent to those of you interested in learning more.

When we study the horoscopes of actors it can be very interesting to see if their horoscope matches the sort of roles they usually play. Further, when an actor achieved this significant fame for one particular role the question again arises as to how well their horoscope matches their role.

In considering the acting career of Arnold Schwarzenegger in which he played some very unusual and otherworldly characters is it possible that his horoscope points to these roles as being suitable for him? Can we even find his signature role, The Terminator, in his horoscope?

The answer is a resounding “Yes”; Arnie hit the bull’s-eye when he played The Terminator. Remarkably it was an excellent choice for him to make, given his horoscope.

With four planets in Leo his charisma quotient would be quite high, especially with Venus there to add to his appeal. In addition, so much fire brings out a robust self-confidence and aggressive optimism.

In terms of raw skepticism we look at two main points in a horoscope; and he has these two points working together and revealing a not unexpected penchant for skepticism. In fact, the skeptical quotient is backed up by two planets that define a powerful intellect. Putting this together it would be very easy for him to rationally disassemble any argument into a collection of dubious assumptions.

All in all, he has the horoscope of a vibrant advocate of rational thought, of the reductionist kind; and who has great technical and mental competence – a mind like a steel trap might do him justice here.  However, because of the strong Fire component (which leads to impulsiveness) astrology would suggest that he would be vulnerable to dismissing ideas or making decisions too quickly.  However there would be few that could successfully debate such choices with him.

Please note that an inaccurate horoscope about James Randi was posted earlier – my fault, I did not double check my sources.

In that horoscope (out by 20 days) there was a much stronger emphasis on (Earth) practicality and raw toughness of character.  In the correct horoscope the emphasis on Leo style attributes (like showmanship and leadership) comes dramatically to the fore.

Interestingly the penchant for skepticism grew stronger and largely due to the two planets that (when synchronized which they are) usually point to a powerful intellect – and that intellect is strongly integrated with the skepticism in his chart.

It should be noted though that the skeptical trait was around for a few months in 1928, so quite a few people had this tendency.  However, in Randi’s horoscope it is hard to imagine a day when it was more powerfully emphasized.
